Oncology experts came together at the meeting hosted by the Generations Genetic Diseases Evaluation Center in Istanbul with the contributions of the American biotechnology company Illumina.

The meeting, which was planned to bring together oncology specialists in Turkey and Dr. Daniel Kazdal, professor of the Institute of Pathology at Heidelberg University, one of the world’s most powerful institutes in biomarker research and development and molecular diagnostics, was moderated by our esteemed professor Prof. Dr. Nil Molinas Mandel.

The benefits of comprehensive molecular profiling in the treatment of cancer patients and the state of the art in cancer biomarkers were discussed at the meeting.

Prof. Dr. Özcan Yıldız and Prof. Dr. Kerem Okutur contributed to the meeting by presenting cases in which they applied treatment with comprehensive molecular profiling.

Dr. Gülay Özgön, the founder of our center, shared her analysis and observations based on over 1000 cases tested in our laboratory in the last two years. “As a genetics center, our goal is to recommend the most appropriate tumor profiling for the patient and to make the results available to our oncology specialists in the fastest and most understandable way,” concluded Dr Özgön, a pharmacology and genetics specialist.
