Dr. Gülay Özgön
General Manager, Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Geneticist .
Dr. Özgön completed his secondary and high school education at Istanbul Italian High School. After graduating from I.Unv. Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1997, she received her MD in pharmacology at the same university and her doctorate degree in medical genetics, which is a joint program of I.Unv. Istanbul Medical and Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculties.
She participated in various programs in psychiatry, pharmacology, advanced molecular genetics, genetic counseling, epilepsy genetics, medical aspects of drug interactions and cardiovascular genetics at institutions such as San Martino Hospital Genoa, University College of London, Bertinoro and University of Florida.
Between 2005 and 2007, she worked as a pharmacology specialist at the American Hospital. While working as a geneticist at Memorial Hospital in 2007-2008, she planned to establish her own laboratory and did so in 2009 by licencing as Nesiller Genetic Laboratories and Consulting Center.
Dr. Özgön is currently working as the founding director of the Center.
Dr. Özgön speaks fluent English and Italian and is the mother of a daughter.

Rüya Öner
Finance and administrative affairsAfter graduating from Nişantaşı Işık High School, Rüya Öner graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning in 1998 and completed her master's degree in real estate management at the University of Reading, Berkshire, England in 2001-2002. Mr. Öner started her career at Çelen Group and worked in the field of Corporate Valuation and Consultancy for 15 years, and then worked as Project Development Manager at Polat Gayrimenkul between 2016-19. In 2019, Öner joined Nesiller Genetic Diseases Evaluation Center as Assistant General Manager in charge of Financial and Administrative Affairs. Her areas of interest include strategic corporate finance advisory, economic feasibility and investment analysis, project management, commercial property and asset management. Rüya Öner speaks English fluently.
Alben Bodur
Corporate Strategy DevelopmentAlben Bodur graduated from Istanbul Italian High School and then from I.U. Faculty of Economics, Department of International Relations and Politics in 1994. Following her master's degree program at the same university, she worked in the European export departments of Paşabahçe Retail and Eczacıbaşı Vitra groups. In 1997, she joined Roche Pharmaceuticals as a product manager and worked in the marketing, human resources and corporate communications departments for 17 years. Finally, she left the company where she worked as brand communication manager in 2014 and settled in Izmir. During this period in ready-to-wear retail, she gained experience in SME governance, internationalization, merchandising and branding. Bodur has completed numerous international executive education programs including INSEAD Leadership Development Program, Global Executive MBA and Adler International Coaching. In 2022, Bodur returned to the healthcare sector as corporate strategy development manager at Nesiller and speaks fluent English and Italian, and intermediate French.
Pınar Barut
LaboratoryShe graduated from Istanbul Kültür University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2012. Then, in 2014, she started working at Acıbadem Pathology Department. She continued his duty in the Department of Pathology by establishing the Molecular Pathology Laboratory in 2015. She succeeded in expanding the test portfolio of the laboratory she established with her studies and making it available to patients. She carried out staff trainings, optimization and validation studies for the growth of the department. Between 2015-2021, she worked as a lecturer at Acıbadem University in addition to her laboratory responsibility at Acıbadem Molecular Pathology Department.As a result of her studies in the field of cancer, she has 2 academic publications published in European Thyroid Journal in 2016 and Respiratory Medicine Case Reports in 2017.In 2021, she started working as a molecular biologist at Nesiller and has been working as a Laboratory Supervisor since the beginning of 2022.
Gökhan Nalbant
MedicalAfter completing his high school education at Ankara Science High School, he graduated from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2019. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted scientific research on the discovery of new genes that may cause rare diseases. His work on rare diseases was published as co-authored papers in high-impact scientific journals. The studies he conducted during his undergraduate period on rare diseases were accepted for poster presentations at the 51st, 53rd, and 54th ESHG (European Society of Human Genetics) Conferences. After his undergraduate studies, he was accepted into the Master’s program in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Acıbadem University. Specializing in bioinformatics, biostatistics, data analysis, and omics studies for 5 years, Nalbant worked as a "Genome Analyst" in the private sector for 2.5 years. He was responsible for providing genetic reports to the medical genetics departments of state hospitals. During this period, he prepared approximately 4,000 genetic reports and presented these results to the relevant physicians. With his knowledge in genome analysis and bioinformatics, Nalbant aims to specialize in cancer genetics and personalized medicine. At the beginning of 2024, he joined Nesiller as a Medical Science Liaison. Nalbant has eight publications in international high-impact journals, four of which are co-authored, and he is proficient in English.
