We are pleased to have worked side by side with our esteemed professors Dr. Cengiz Karaçin and Dr. Deniz Can Güven from the planning to the realization of the Genetics Course held today in Ankara by the Association for Supporting Academic Development with the contributions of Merck Pharmaceutical Company.

“Cancer genetics and molecular oncology”, which is rapidly expanding its place in medical oncology practice, was discussed in the course held for our oncology minor physicians from Hacettepe, Ankara Oncology, Gazi, Gata, Bilkent and Etlik City hospitals.

Dr. Gülay Özgön, founder of our center, presented two sessions on basic definitions of molecular oncology, bioinformatics concepts and molecular test interpretation. In the case presentations that followed, he contributed with his genetic perspective and answered questions.
