Pharmacogenetics is a field of study that examines how individuals respond to various drugs according to their genetic makeup. The main objectives of pharmacogenetic studies based on gene-drug interaction are as follows;<\/p>\n

  • Increasing efficiency by selecting the most effective drug,<\/li>\n
  • Reducing side effects by selecting drugs that cause the least toxicity,<\/li>\n
  • Monitoring, directing, modifying treatment,<\/li>\n
  • Development of new medicines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    We know that not every person has exactly the same genetic makeup.
